Anchor Hocking is my favorite maker of glassware and containers. From my beautiful vintage ruby glass to the cup size containers I just bought, Anchor Hocking is sturdy, chip-free, and always comes in handy. I especially love how these single cup containers come with ruby red lids that match my vintage ruby glass perfectly! They’re absolutely perfect for serving tapas, condiments, clotted cream, or anything else that you might serve in small portions and pop in the fridge if there are leftovers. The lids are especially handy if you want to serve things outdoors but keep the bugs out. They’re SO handy!!!Happy accident. Turns out I needed the 4 cup bowls for left overs so I prefer what I got even if it wasn't what I ordered. Bonus this was $1.00 cheaper than the 3 4-cup set. There was a tiny piece of glass that stands up on lip of one bowl. Doesn't prevent lid from sealing.I originally bought these containers because I was eating my salads for work from a 7 cup stainless steel bowl with a lid but I needed to carry around a large bag to hold them and needed something that could go in a normal lunchbox. I also did not want to buy plastic containers. I got these and they work great! The only problem is that one day I was washing a container under hot water and it shattered on me :( so now I am down to 3. Moving forward I just make sure to wash them under lukewarm water and none have shattered since then. I would buy them again if I needed to I love them so much!Perfect size for cooking meal preps.The containers just arrived yesterday and my wife could not wait to use them. She was pleased with the size and the material of the container lid. They're new, so durability is unknown...time will tell.The reason I bought these for storage of fridge foods instead of Made In China junk is, they're Made In America. And now I understand why we all should INSIST all our kitchen gadgets regardless what, should be made in our country.I've bought so many items that are Made In China & they either fall apart, break easily or leave some unknown (possibly harmful) residue on the food we eat.These are so good. That's why this is my 3rd order for these GLASS (Not Plastic) storage containers.Oh yeah, lest I forget...my fridge doesn't smell of onions now with these containers. The Glass is impervious to odors & the really high quality rubber lids stay on beautfiully.ALL DISHWASHER SAFE TOO.Excellent Choice for the American Kitchen100% better than the China junk others are selling.The size is perfect. Just what I was looking for!For years and years I would use plastic for storage in the freezer. Never realized until I used these for my freezer storage how much longer foods last with glass over plastic containers. We are building up our glass containers over plastics now. Great quality fast delivery. A bit pricey, but they will last longer than plastic counterparts.While I stand by this product, as I have been using it for several years now and have been trying to help my older parents make the switch.... the product items I received were not as listed.I was expecting to get a 6 piece set of 1 x 2-Cup, 1 x 4-Cup, 1 x 7-Cup plus lids for all - thats THREE DIFFERENT sizes. What I got was 3 4-cup containers with lids!The books were not as described, they were all the same size ( 2 cups) The description of the product was 3 different sizes, 2,4 & 7 cups ). These come in different sizes so you can store all kinds of food.
