We throw a few parties a year where my husband smokes beef or pork, we make a few sides, and guests bring pot luck sides too, so we often need to have containers ready for us and guests. Ziploc bags just weren't cutting it, and the disposable Glad ware is too expensive for constant giveaways. So I bought these to have on-hand.After I got them, I put them through my tests. They're firm but still pliable. The covers bend but also not too much. I can see through them as I need to. Most importantly, the lid can be peeled off but doesn't completely pop off when I lift it, and doesn't snap or crack when I lift it either. Ideal.I'm using them now for small snack bags that rip when I open them. I have a few types of crackers that I like that have flimsy bags that tear no matter how I open them. Nothing worse than a stale cracker so I don't understand why their packaging is so weak. I poured a bag of 5.4 ounce bruschetta crackers into one container. Fit perfectly.I tested a container with just water to make sure it stayed sealed and it did. We make our own barbeque sauce, bread crumbs, and coctail sauce and I can't afford to lose any of that work to a lid that doesn't lock. These do. Another test passed.I learned with a set of clear vacuum sealed containers I put in my pantry last month that my family tends to select things they can easily see, so I'm going to put more dry snacks into these to encourage them to get used and not thrown to the back of the pantry. My teenager already dropped a hard acrylic storage container I just bought and it's a miracle it didn't break, so I'll be putting her favorites in these containers since they'll survive a fall much better.Need them?
